A LITTLE TRANSPARENCY
From the sky
to your daily reading.
Real calculations. Consistent rules. Room for your own interpretation.
Calculate the sky
For each calendar date, we calculate the geocentric ecliptic longitude of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. The reference time is noon in America/New_York, including its daylight saving time changes. These are calculated astronomical positions, not observations from your location.
Map signs and solar houses
We divide the tropical zodiac into twelve equal 30-degree signs. For each horoscope, its Sun sign becomes the first solar house and the other signs follow in order. This broad sign-based method does not use your birth time, birthplace, or a personal birth chart.
Find the major aspects
We compare the angular separation of each pair of bodies with five traditional aspect angles: conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), and opposition (180°). An aspect is included only when its separation falls within the configured tolerance, called an orb.
Apply consistent interpretation rules
Our rule system associates planets, houses, and aspects with themes from traditional Western astrology. Those explicit rules select the relevant influences for Overall, Love, Career, Money, and Energy. Astrology supplies the symbolic interpretation; astronomy supplies the positions. They are different kinds of information.
Create a structured reading
The rules produce a date, a sign, supporting influences, and a score from one to five for each section. These scores summarize our interpretation. They are not measured probabilities, predictions of an outcome, or scientific ratings of your day.
Write with the template system
A collection of editorial phrases turns the structured influences into English text. Phrase selection is deterministic: the same date, sign, section, and influences produce the same wording. A reading is stored under its calendar date and reused when tomorrow becomes today.
Keep optional AI in an editorial role
AI assistance is optional and disabled by default. When enabled during content generation, it may rephrase the supplied interpretation but cannot calculate planetary positions or choose new astrological events. Its output is validated, and any sign with a failed or invalid response uses template text. Visiting a page never triggers an AI request.
Consistency, from one day to the next.
Each date has one stored reading for every sign. Tomorrow’s reading becomes today’s without being rewritten. Updates follow Eastern Time, and pages show their published dates so you can always see which day you’re reading.
The score range is 1–5: a symbolic summary of the rules, never a probability of a future event. Astrology is not a scientifically validated way to predict the future.
